Mike Knowles Inducted into the National High School Athletic Association's National Hall of Fame

Coach Mike Knowles, the Chairman for FHC Senior Softball for the past 6+ years, will be inducted into the National High School Athletic Coaches Association's National Hall of Fame on July 25 in Lincoln, Nebraska.  He and his wife Sherry will attend the induction ceremonies, and bring back lots of pictures.  This honor is presented across our nation recognizing the achievements in High School coaching.  Awards are given to coaches in individual sports, and also for Lifetime Achievement, which is the category that Coach Knowles falls into.  Mike retired from Manatee High School in Bradenton in 2011.  During his coaching career, he coached football, baseball, golf, basketball and track.  Coach Knowles was inducted into the Florida High School Athletic Association in 2004 as a baseball and basketball official, and inducted into the Florida Athletic Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2005 as a high school coach.  In 2016 he was inducted into the FHC Softball Hall of Fame.  This will be his 4th Hall of Fame induction in his athletic career.  He gives the credit and glory to his Savior, and the greatest of support and love from his wife Sherry for the past 50+ years.
